India is a land of diversity, a fact that is evident from the variety of jewellery designs! Ek Bar Fir by Aadyaa is an attempt to bring forward some of the most spectacular jewellery designs from across the country. Our design team has undertaken extensive research, and studied various region specific jewellery designs, to bring the huge variety of Indian jewellery into the mainstream wardrobe. All designs from Ek Bar Fir have a fascinating and rich history associated with them, as they make way into your daily wardrobe. The Sui Dhaaga Earrings draw inspiration from the traditional Kashmiri Earrings - the Dejhoor. The Dejhoor is worn by Kashmiri Pandit brides a day before the wedding, in a ceremony called divgoan. It is suspended with a red thread from a piercing in the upper-ear cartilage. The thread is replaced with a gold chain/thread (ath) at the groom’s house. A small gold ornament, called athor, is added to the lower end of the dejhor. The Sui Dhaaga Earrings by Aadyaa are made entirely in silver, and designed keeping the modern wardrobe in mind. The gold plated earrings are ideal to be worn to complete the ethnic look. You can use the earring in any piercing from the ear. (Please check the reference image) Please note: The thickness of the screw is 1 mm.
